Past and Future
To talk about past and future months, the name of the month is followed by yang lalu (last) and yang akan datang (next). The useful phrase yang lalu means literally “what has gone / passed by” but it can be better translated “…ago”.
bulan Juni yang lalu
last June
tiga hari yang lalu
three days ago
bulan November yang akan datang
next November
If you are talking about “next …. ” (the month or week after the current one) without citing its name, you can also say:
bulan yang akan datang
next month
bulan depan
next month
minggu yang akan datang
next week
minggu depan
next week
bulan yang lalu
last month
